The customer reports an issue that Push notifications are not working with Android 8.0. This article provides a resolution for this error.
It is most likely that this error occurs when "Floating Notification" or "Lock screen notification" is probably disabled.
The customer has to follow the following procedure for each app they want notifications to appear, and then for each channel, they need to check inside whether or not everything is toggled on (i.e., enabled). Some apps have more than ten channels.
With Android 8.0, new settings have been added for notifications. Follow the steps given below:
To check this, navigate go to Settings > Installed Apps > the App you want notifications to show.
Click on the "Notification" button.
In there, there is a toggle "Show notifications" that you need to activate. It most likely is already enabled.
Below you can find the "Notification categories" officially known as "Notification channels".
For each channel, you have a button.
