Overview
You may come across situations where you will get a different experience when accessing your Progressive Web Application (PWA) on your Desktop/Laptop workstation than the one you got when you used the App Previewer functionality. This article outlines why this occurs and how you can solve it.
Prerequisites
- Progressive Web Application (PWA)
- Desktop workstation
Diagnosis
Some pictures and/or some buttons may look weird when you are on your Desktop/Laptop workstation. They may look different than what you can see in the App Previewer tool. For instance, in the example below, you can see big distances between the Grid Menu and the picture.
In the Previewer the same app would look like this:
This is because BiznessApp's Design Scheme and the Previewer functionality are intended to be used on mobile devices. However, while it might work if a Desktop/Laptop workstation is used to open a PWA, the Desktop is not the platform this solution was built for and thus the experience may not be quite the same and the one expected.
Solution
If you do want to use a PWA for a Desktop, we suggest you check the intended design on a Desktop workstation and use that as a guide for the look and feel of your app instead of our App Previewer functionality.
The URL you need to use can be found on the automated email you will receive upon publishing your PWA.
Testing
If you use your desktop to check the design, then you would be able to customize it according to your needs so it won't look weird when Desktop users access it.
