Overview
This article outlines the process of importing events from your Google Calendar or Eventbrite accounts into the Events v2 feature.
Solution
Before starting to import the events, refer to this linked article for building your Events v2 feature. Follow these steps once the Event feature has been added:
- Log into your CSM platform
- Go to Build->Create->Features and search for Events v2.
- Click on the Content tab.
- Scroll down and click on Import Events.
-
Select the third-Party service for importing your events.
- For Google accounts, log into your Google account to import events directly from GCal. The Google Calendar syncs automatically. Once synced, select the events and click Import, as seen in the screenshot below.
- For Eventbrite accounts, log into your account to import the events directly. Only events created by this account can be imported. Any new events added to Eventbrite after the importing processes need to be re-imported.
- For Google accounts, log into your Google account to import events directly from GCal. The Google Calendar syncs automatically. Once synced, select the events and click Import, as seen in the screenshot below.
- Click Next once you have selected your import option.
- Confirmation: A full list of options shows, where you can import more events or click DONE to return to the dashboard. Make sure you review all imported events and add their content details as needed.
Notes:
- When building the Events v2 feature you have options to add a single event, a recurring event or to import events. For information about adding single and recurring events, refer to this linked article about building the Events v2 feature.
- This feature is not available through the White Label NextGen CMS, so in the case of resellers using the WhiteLabel Client Panel for their clients, they must import events for their clients via the BiznessApps version.
Testing
You will have managed to import events in the Events v2 feature. In the example below we have imported a recurring event.
