With the North Park release, you are now able to send push notifications to either individual or multiple users, which allows you to create a customer database within CMS and send push notifications to a larger audience. This article outlines the process of sending push notifications to single and multiple users in CMS.
The process of sending single or multi-user push notifications is not the same as scheduling push notifications. To learn more about scheduling push notifications, you can check this article about Sending Push Notifications.
Single-User Push Notifications
Log in to the CMS and go to Manage > Customers. Click on one of the customers.
The customer detail view should appear after selecting the customer. Select the three-dot menu icon () > Send > Push Notification.
You will then see a four-step modular workflow of the push notifications feature. Since a specific user has been previously selected, you may disregard the Target Audience section and the location options.
Compose your message title and message.
You may also set up a link to a specific feature or a website URL (optional).
You can either schedule the push notification or send it immediately.
Before you send the push notification, a preview of your message will appear.
Multi-User Push Notifications
Log in to the CMS and go to Manage > Customers. On the customer list view, select the required customers.
Once you select multiple customers, a bar will appear below stating the number of customers selected along with the Send icon/button.
The workflow in composing and sending messages will be the same procedures outlined for single-users starting with step 3. In the last part of the workflow, you will also notice that a summary of the users you've selected will appear.
