In May 2019, a new notification feature was introduced in BiznessApps CMS, displaying information about the delivery status of push notifications sent to iOS devices. This notification appears when sending out immediate push notifications to iOS devices from CMS. This article provides information about this process and why it only works when sending push notifications to iOS devices.

The introduction of this feature aims to prevent timeouts and create awareness to customers about the notifications' estimated delivery time.

The delivery status/message only appears when a customer sends out a push notification to more than 500 iOS devices. These notifications are not sent to iOS devices immediately. It takes time for CMS to process and send all push notifications.

In some cases, it takes more than 15 minutes to send iOS push notifications. It takes approximately 0.2s to send a notification to an iOS device, which means that for every 5000 iOS devices, it would take about 16.6 minutes for all iOS users to receive the notification.
