When an app is published using the Enterprise Distribution option, the link to the Private App download location is sent to the entered email address. This link can then be distributed to your clients, who can pass it along to others. When the link is loaded on an iPad, it opens in Safari, but there is no download link as the device is not recognized as an iOS device. Instead, the following message appears:
Please visit this link in an iOS device to download this application <app name>
This article provides the steps to change the Safari browser settings on an iPad so that it is detected as an iOS device when the Private App link is clicked.
We need to configure the site to open as a desktop version to make the download link available. To accomplish this, do the following steps:
On the iPad, go to Settings > Safari.
Scroll down to the heading Settings for Websites.
Choose Request Desktop Website.
Toggle off All Websites.
Note: This option is enabled by default and must be disabled for the link to work.
The link (Install Now) to download the app will be available, as shown below:
