Overview
This article provides information regarding the use of Feature Search and Global Search, the two types of searches available on our platform.
Solution
Note: These search options cannot be disabled since they are standard features of the app.
Feature Search
Follow the steps below to use the Feature Search function (applicable to Tab Bar and Grid Menu):
-
Click on the More button to see additional features that are not listed on the main screen of the app.
-
On the More screen, the search icon appears in the top-right corner of the screen. Click on this icon to enable the search field.
-
Enter the search term in the Feature Search field. The app will only search for and provide results of feature titles. In the example below, a search for news returns results for the features News and Weekly Newsletter.
Global Search
Note: Global Search feature is only available for iOS and Android apps. For PWA, we only have the normal search feature.
- The Global Search allows the user to search the entire app for content.
- Follow the steps below to use the Global Search function.
-
Swipe down from the top of your screen to access the Global Search window.
-
Enter the search term in the Global Search field, and then click Search. In the example shown below, the user is searching for the term house in the real estate app.
-
When the search results are presented, you can then select a search result to be taken to the appropriate tab.
