It is necessary to register for an Apple Developer Account to upload iOS apps. This article provides the process of creating this account so you can publish your iOS applications.
- Your Apple Developer account creation/renewal is required for your application to run appropriately. Apple requires each business to have their account. You can only use one developer account for each app based on the Apple Developer guidelines.
- You must have received confirmation of your account creation. Confirmation of your account can take up to 48 hours. Sometimes, it can also take up to two weeks to complete it, if the developer (you or your client) is outside of the USA. If this is the case, call Apple Support as there may be some information missing on the account. Once the information is provided and processed, an activation email should be received shortly.
- To successfully publish iOS applications, ensure you have logged in and accepted any additional Terms of Service prompts.
- Valid Debit/Credit Card

Please note that Apple requires publishing One App Per Organization And Per Developer Account.
When setting up an Apple Developer Account, we highly recommend that the customer or the client registers as an Organization. Apple has emphasized per item 4.2.6 in the App Store Guidelines that the App Name and Developer Name need to match to have the application approved. Also as per item 5.2.1 Apps should be submitted by the person or legal entity that owns or has licensed the intellectual property.
Finally, please note that since Apple tends to update their License Agreements on a regular basis, you will often be prompted to agree to the new Developer Program License Agreement.
The price may differ based on your location and is subject to change at any time by Apple. Please refer to the iOS Developer Account page for the exact yearly costs of Apple's iOS Developer Accounts.
