Overview
It is necessary to register for an Apple Developer Account to upload iOS apps. Apple requires each business to have their own account, and you can only use one developer account for each app based on the Apple Developer guidelines. Confirmation of a new account can take up to 48 hours, sometimes, it can also take up to two weeks to complete it. Once your account is activated, and you forward us the relevant information in the Client CMS Panel, you will be able to request your apps to be published to the App Store.
Note: If your organization is outside of the USA, and there is a large delay in account activation, we recommend you call Apple Support as there may be some information missing for their verification process. Once the information is provided and processed, an activation email should be received shortly.
Environment
- You need access to a valid Debit/Credit Card as Apple Developer accounts have a yearly membership fee.
Solution
- To create an Apple Developer account, please have a read at the external article What You Need To Enroll.
Please note that Apple requires publishing One App Per Organization And Per Developer Account.
When setting up an Apple Developer Account, we highly recommend that the customer or the client registers as an Organization. Apple has emphasized per item 4.2.6 in the App Store Guidelines that the App Name and Developer Name need to match to have the application approved. Also as per item 5.2.1 Apps should be submitted by the person or legal entity that owns or has licensed the intellectual property.
Finally, please note that since Apple tends to update their License Agreements on a regular basis, you will often be prompted to agree to the new Developer Program License Agreement.
The fee may differ based on your location and is subject to change at any time by Apple. Please refer to the iOS Developer Account page for the exact yearly costs of Apple's iOS Developer Accounts. It is your responsibility to pay this fee on time to keep your account active. Note: This payment has to be done on Apple's Developer Portal and cannot be done from our Client CMS. |
Testing
You will be able to log in to App Store Connect and Apple Developer using your Apple ID login information.
