Overview
You received an error "We're unable to read your APNS Certification file" upon sending iOS Push Notifications using the Skipper app.
Diagnosis
You got the following error sending an Apple Push Notification using the Skipper app:
Whoops! We're unable to read your APNS Certification file! Please send an email to support so we can help fix this issue!
The certification file error indicates that the Apple Push Notification service certificate is faulty or expired.
Note: Most of the issues that come up on Skipper mirror issues that are going on in the CMS.
Solution
The issue most probably is not Skipper related and you can log in to the CMS platform to try to resolve it. Thus before you contact support :
1. Follow the steps outlined in the Solution Section of the Rebuilding an iOS/Apple Push Notification Certificate KB article.
2. Send a Push Notification using the Skipper app again.
Testing
You will be able to use the Skipper App to send your iOS Push Notifications to the recipients you wish without getting this error message.
