Editing the Food Ordering Email Templates

Overview

This article provides information on the Food Ordering Email template as well as the receipt layout presenting you the available options to customize them. 

Information

The Food Ordering Feature includes the Email section, allowing you to customize what is sent to both you and your customers when an order is placed. This is primarily applicable if you want more detailed or customized invoices and/or confirmation emails, or need to translate them into a language besides English. 

To get started navigate to Build -> Create - >Food Ordering Feature and Click the Email tab under the Content option.

You can customize two different email types: Customer Confirmation (order confirmation for user) and Admin Receipt (order confirmation for business). You also have an extra tab (Custom Guides) to customize the Food Order Items list

Customer Confirmation

Subject: Create a subject line for the confirmation email.

Message Template: Add or remove objects from your email. The bracketed items will auto-generate appropriate info for the specific order. You can add more of these bracketed items from the Email Objects section at the bottom. 

Email Objects: These are the email fields from which you choose what goes into each email (Eg. Delivery name, delivery address, order time).

 

Admin Receipt

Admin Email: New orders will be emailed to this address. Please check the Order confirmation emails not received KB article for more information

Subject: Create a subject line for the confirmation email the Admin will receive.

Custom Guides

Customize the Details Listed for your items: Format How Individual Items Are Displayed. Actually, this is where you can choose the order and the set up of the Order Items List (ie the {ORDEREDITEMS_LIST} object residing in the Customer Confirmation tab)
Email Objects: These are the email fields from which you choose what goes into each email. (Eg. Delivery name, delivery address, order time).
Customize Specific Text: If you need to translate your confirmation email, click this header to do so. You can translate "Delivery," "Takeout," "Dine In," "Card," and "Cash."

    How do we include this delivery time to the receipts? {ORDER_TIME}  {PLACE_TIME} both show the time the order was placed.
