Overview
App Credits represent your ability to publish and maintain apps. Whenever an app is published, a credit is deducted from your available credits and assigned to the app you are publishing. If an app is unpublished, the credit is made available again for use with a different app. In this article, you can see how you can add Credits to your account so you can be able to publish your apps successfully.
Solution
Each app credit allows you to publish an app to a specific platform, either iOS or Android (e.g., if you are publishing a client’s app to both iOS and Android, you will be using two (2) credits).
-
In your CMS portal, click the arrow in the top right corner to reveal a drop-down menu. Select Subscriptions.
- Click Add App Credits.
-
Read the information presented on the Volume App Credit Pricing page then click Next.
-
Under Order Summary, adjust the quantity to the number of additional app credits you would like to purchase.
Note: As the example below is an app credit purchase for a Platinum Plan, each credit is $10.
You can also update your Payment and Billing Information in this window as well.
-
Select Add Credits when you are ready! The app credits will be added to your account automatically, and a new subscription plan will appear under Subscriptions.
Note: App credit plans are independent of your Base Subscription, which means you will be charged separately for the two. If you are starting a new credit plan, you will be charged immediately, and your credit plan will renew on that day of the month from here on out. If you are adding credits to an existing plan, you will be charged immediately for the prorated amount of the new credits, but your credit plan billing date will remain the same.
If you unpublish an app, you will receive the original app credit back. This credit is freed for use on another app, but your monthly fee will not decrease. We do not lower monthly fees if you no longer have a need for your additional app credits. Credit plans are a monthly commitment, just like your Base Subscription, so be sure to purchase only the amount you need!
Important: Partners on New Plans can request a reduction in App Credits once every three months from the date that the base plan starts, which is the main subscription to the New Plans. This request should also be in writing by opening a ticket with Support seven days before the 3-month cycle. You may also contact support for any discrepancies in the app credit value
Testing
You can check if the credit has been added by following the steps outlined in the Viewing App Credits KB article.
