Overview
As a Partner/Reseller, subdomain setup is required for enabling and customizing a custom Client CMS Panel. This is where your clients will log in to access and edit their apps.
This article outlines how you can configure a custom subdomain for your domain using the GoDaddy domain registrar.
Environment
- You have control of the DNS configuration for your custom domain.
Note: If you don't have a domain, you can register for one using the Godaddy Service
Solution
1. Set up your GoDaddy subdomain, following the instructions in the Create a Subdomain article.
Note1: In the 'Record Type' select the value CNAME instead of type 'A' as dictated in the above link.
Note2: In the 'Points to' enter the value cms.mobileapphelper.com
Note3: For resellers to configure a default domain for both Login and PWA in GoDaddy, they have to set up a CNAME with the host "www" pointing to cms.mobileapphelper.com
.
So, in this case:
-
For Login:
<customdomain>.com/login
-
For PWAs:
<customdomain>.com/m/appcode
2. Create a ticket with Support and include your subdomain URL (hostname.yourdomain.com)
<supportagent>
When the customer provides you with the subdomain, follow the steps outlined in the Adding a Partner's Subdomain Link for the Client Panel KB article.
</supportagent>
Important: Having CAA (Certification Authority Authorization) when buying SSL is ok, but once you forward it to us, you should immediately remove CAA on your side.
Testing
You will have created a Subdomain and sent notice of the change to our Customer Support Team. Within 2-3 business days, your client panel login page will be enabled and you will be able to access it through your custom subdomain.
